Modern Farmhouse Asking $2M in Connecticut Has Exposed Beams in Almost Every Room
At the edge of the Connecticut–New York border, about two hours north of New York City, Kent is a sleepy town of around 3,000 residents tucked into the Berkshire foothills (the area is especially alluring come fall-foliage season). Litchfield County’s 15 Gorham Road sits in the middle of the region’s agrarian glory, not far from the trails at Lake Waramaug State Park or the 250-foot waterfall at Kent Falls State Park. But while there are stone walls and red barns aplenty, you can also find shinier establishments downtown, including Ore Hill & Swyft, a fine-dining restaurant and pizzeria from James Beard Award–nominated chef Joel Viehland.
